BATON ROUGE, LA – A coalition of civic and business organizations today announced their joint endorsement of incumbent District 35 Senator Jim Fannin (R-Jonesboro) for his reelection campaign. The coalition includes:

NORTHPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI)

LOGPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association (LOGA)

ABC Pelican PAC, a political action committee of Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Louisiana

MC-PAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA)

LAMP, a political action committee of the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA)

LHBA PAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Home Builders Association (LHBA)

In a joint statement, the groups said, “This election cycle is critical and dynamic and we must engage in support of those candidates who will fight for business and job growth in Louisiana. As a business owner, Jim Fannin knows both the joys and the struggles of operating a business and will fight for business owners and citizens across Louisiana. Senator Fannin’s leadership and institutional knowledge will be invaluable as the Senate is guaranteed to lose more than a third of its current membership due to term limits. We are proud to endorse State Senator Jim Fannin for reelection to Senate District 35.”

Fannin has been a residential and commercial building contractor for more than 30 years and has built three successful businesses. Jim and his wife first opened Fannin Farm Supply back in 1989, which they still operate today. The senator is seeking his second term in Senate District 35. The election is October 12th, 2019. Qualifying dates for the 2019 elections are August 6-8th.
