The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) cybersecurity agency has issued guidelines defining critical workers who the Trump administration is encouraging to maintain a “normal working schedule” during the coronavirus pandemic. The list specifically includes petroleum and natural gas workers, information technology professionals supporting critical networks, and those working in manufacturing, among many others.

The Department of Homeland Security stated:

“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
