ALERT: Caddo Parish in Need of Assistance

LOGA Members,

Caddo Parish needs our help.

Recent severe weather has left several thousand of Caddo citizens without electrical power. Unfortunately, some residents cannot have their power restored until they have the electrical meter and/or weather box repaired. Also, some residents will have to remove downed trees off of power lines in order to have power restored. Some citizens cannot afford these repairs and Caddo is unlikely to receive FEMA assistance.

It would be helpful if we could get funds to help these citizens. The Caddo Parish Administration is working with one of their local partners, Providence House, to establish a vetting process to determine who could be eligible to receive funding.

Additionally, Caddo has some homebound residents who are unable to leave their homes to go to a shelter. A local group is preparing care packages for these residents and have requested assistance with acquiring food. Caddo Parish needs donations to help cover the cost of food.

Please consider how we can support our fellow community members. Whether it's financial contributions, volunteering, or leveraging our networks, every effort counts.

Please reach out with your ideas and commitments to the relief efforts and send them to me at mike@loga.la. Together, we can bring much-needed relief and support to the residents of the Caddo Parish.
