ACT 312 Found Consitutional

The Louisiana Supreme Court released its opinion in the MJ Farms case today! Act 312 was found to be Constitutional on all counts and to apply retroactively. At the moment there are no words to express how important this is.

“After reviewing the record, 2006 La. Acts 312, and the constitutional provisions at issue, we conclude the district court erred in finding Act 312 of 2006 unconstitutional. Accordingly, we reverse the judgment of the district court, and remand this matter to the district court for further proceedings consistent with the views expressed herein.”
