Matt Ross, Assistant Director of North Louisiana
Matt Ross joins LOGA in December 2009 to assist with operations in our Shreveport office, as Assistant Director of North Louisiana. Matt is a Shreveport native whose family has been involved in Louisiana's oil and gas industry for over 35 years. Working in his family's oilfield equipment company, Matt has gained knowledge of drilling, completion, production, and the equipment side of the industry. After graduating from Texas Christian University where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science, Matt worked as a title analyst and prepared title opinions for the leasing and development of the Haynesville Shale. This past year Matt served as Legislative Correspondent and advisor on oil and gas issues, homeland security, and immigration policy for Congressman John Fleming of the Fourth Congressional District of Louisiana. During his tenure with Congressman Fleming, Matt served as an integral speech writer and organized an Energy Working Group consisting of regional oil and gas leaders who advise the Congressman on pertinent industry related matters.
